Metal finishing, not finished

The car is back with Tyler to finish the metal finishing.  This will address a lot of the remaining issues, and some new ones.   The idea is to minimize any body filler required for paint.  At this point there isn't a drop on the car.  It is all steel.

Washer nozzles filled, dents repaired on hood

Remaining tasks include:

  • Finalize sunroof metal finishing
  • Pull in front bumper to 1972 (not US 1973) specs by making custom mounting brackets
  • Modify 3-piece front bumper with rubber trim and over-riders into a custom single piece all chrome unit with no over-riders
  • Finalize rear valence metal finishing
  • Fix rust in drivers door trim flange
  • Metal finishing the welds from the fender and quarter panel repair panels
  • Dents in hood
  • Dents in the deck lid
  • Oil canning on the hood
  • A dent in the right front fender
  • Dents around the front bumper bracket slots
  • Waviness in the lower front valance
  • Filling the washer nozzle holes in the hood
  • Filling the rear bumper under rider holes in the valence
  • Filling the holes for the rubber trim on the rocker covers
  • Fit rocker covers
