First Car Show

I took my CSE to its first car show last Saturday.  This was an all-electric gathering called Autopia2099.  I drove my car in and out of the show but, since it doesn't currently have a windshield, doors, etc., I trailered it and unloaded nearby.  Still, it was great to drive and show off a work in progress to fellow EV enthusiasts.

The CSE flanked by older production EVs.

Part of the reason for attending was to meet up with SuperfastMatt and his 1950 Jaguar Model 3 conversion.  While he declined my invite to a shifter kart race, we had some good discussions.  It turns out he used to own a Honda 125cc shifter kart but only did one race.  He has a new project in the works that will hopefully defend his superfast moniker.

A lot of the vehicles were just new cars (Rivan trucks, Porsche Taycans, Teslas, etc.) but there were a few other conversions, including a Corvair, classic Mini, Honda S2000, Mustang, and the usual VWs.  Nissan brought a FormulaE racecar and a couple pre-production examples of their upcoming Ariya small SUV.  The space is growing for sure.
